Valentine's Day Themed Toys

Valentine’s Day is coming up, so I had some fun going through all our materials in the Toy Library and picking out what felt “Valentine’s” to me. And I’ll admit: of course a young child’s toy library does not have a plethora of "romantic" or "red-and-pink-themed" toys.

So I stretched the definition a bit. I found toys that encourage spending time with the people you love, toys that help create memories, and toys that are simply the color pink (not many of those, either!!).

  1. Make a Face

I love using Make a Face to bond with kids—laughing at the silly faces we create and trying to copy each other’s expressions. People are naturally drawn to faces. When children become familiar with facial expressions and emotions, they can start to understand what others are feeling just by looking at them. And honestly, it’s hard not to feel a little love when you’re laughing together at a completely ridiculous face.

  2. Mega Bloks

    They're pink. Enough said!

  3. Doubles Mommy & Baby Puzzle

A child's favorite persons are their parents, and they love toys that show love and connection between other parents and children. You can enjoy cuddling up while solving this sweet puzzle together.

  4. The Helper Play Kit Set 1 - Lovevery

Children love to be helpers, and helping one another is one of the best ways to spend quality time together. Not only that, the book in the kit highlights baking together—a wonderful bonding activity! I still remember the day I made raspberry muffins with my mom when I was young.

  5. Mag-Fun Magnetic Building Toy

What is more fun for both children and adults than magnets? Create fun memories together while bonding over your shared love of building. Many of my fond childhood memories are the simple moments of playing with my favorite toys alongside cousins, family, and friends.

  6. Locktagons

Speaking of creating memories by playing together… have you heard of Locktagons? Sometimes blocks can get boring once you’ve built every conceivable tower you can imagine. These unique shapes lock together to create all kinds of cool and unexpected structures.

  7. Abby & Emma - Magnetic Wooden Dress Up Dolls

Why, Valentine’s Day is a fancy occasion—and a perfect excuse to dress up! How will you style the dolls for this special day? These dolls have a cool, retro, and vibrant look that makes dressing them extra fun.

All these toys and more can be found in our online Library Inventory. The Kaleidoscope Toy Library has over 700 quality toys, learning materials, and children's furniture for children aged 0-6 years old.
