Screen Time: Finding a Healthy Balance

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Sarah Jerstad to speak on our most-requested topic: screen time and young children.

The COVID-19 Pandemic forced many parents, caregivers, and educators to rely on screens for their children's entertainment and schoolwork. As we all strive to strike a new, healthy balance, Dr. Jerstad will share a research-based perspective informed by child development to help us create a nurturing, enriching environment, whether at home or at school. You will have the opportunity to submit questions ahead of the event.

Childcare is available on a limited basis for children ages 3-8. You can sign-up for a childcare slot when RSVPing for this event.

Dr. Sarah Jerstad is the Clinical Director of Psychological Services at Children's Minnesota. 

About the Family Resource Center:

The Family Resource Center is a collaborative endeavor between two nonprofits: Kaleidoscope Learning and Monarch Montessori School. We are providing high-quality, out of school experiences to families of children ages birth to six years old. Our services include a toy library, parent education nights, community events, online resources, and access to our in-person space. Our goal is to support families during a developmentally crucial and magical time of their young learners' lives.
